Lactose, i.e., milk sugar, is difficult for many of us to digest; lactose sensitivity is an increasingly common condition. Lactose sensitivity is a lack of a digestive enzyme since our body needs a digestive enzyme, lactase, to digest milk sugar. On the other hand, it can be said about lactase that, as a rule, our body produces this enzyme only as long as breast milk is justified.
