Lactose, i.e., milk sugar, is difficult for many of us to digest; lactose sensitivity is an increasingly common condition. Lactose sensitivity is a lack of a digestive enzyme since our body needs a digestive enzyme, lactase, to digest milk sugar. On the other hand, it can be said about lactase that, as a rule, our body produces this enzyme only as long as breast milk is justified. For most of us, the production of the substance is later reduced or even stopped utterly - that is why there are different strengths of lactose sensitivity.

The good news, however, is that the unpleasant consequences of this condition (bloating, digestive discomfort, diarrhoea) following the consumption of dairy products can be suppressed by taking the enzyme orally in the same way as if our body produced the enzyme itself.
